LalaMr. Woodley Chery ask me do I wanted to work at the FTX arena and I said yes. Then Ms. MJ had ask me about another job position. I didn't know what to think, so I decided to fill both applications out and go to both interviews back to back. To make my decision, I thought to myself whoever hire me first that's where I would be working. Even though I had MJ with me on the first interview, the next day I had another interview. The first interview they said that they will call me in two weeks. The second Interview I decided to go by myself without Mr. Woodley, and guess who hire me right on the spot, FTX Arena. Which was fantastic for me. I was extremely excited about the job opportunity and couldn't wait to tell all my colleagues about it.
My First day of working was an orientation week training and I got paid for it. It started with a tour of the Arena and getting my schedule and picture badges. The next day was my first game that I had to work as a Greeter. Yes, I was nervous about seeing a lot of people, but I was happy to be there for the first time. I didn't know that they would just put me in there like that so quickly, but I made it through. On the next day, we didn't have a game, but a two hour meet and greet team members day. They were all great, people who were there to work hard and wanted to be there. They treated us with respect and like we were a family. Which I was very happy about. The staff made us feel so welcome that I felt like I was home. Just like the key clubhouse which I was very pleased about. On Thursday was my first day off and on that Friday night I went back to work. I was trained with a CO worker name Joe, he showed me how to do mobile tickets, I thought that was great. What I didn't know is that we have only a ten minute break. On Sunday it was young teenagers concert, a little weird at first, but I started to understand them. I saw some of the concert and it went very well. That night I realized that this job is a great place for me and fun. Even though their rules and regulations are too strict. I really love working there. On Wednesday it was another game and I had to make sure that every guess that had there tickets and their right seats. Last, but not least, I realized that I'm getting used to this job and I really want to succeed at it and I know that if I continue to learn, and getting to know this arena, I will shine and achieve my goals. |
ToniBefore I became a member of the Key Clubhouse I was unstable. I was hospitalized several times and in jail. I was referred to the Key Clubhouse by the courts and have been a member since. The Key Clubhouse helps me in so many ways. They referred me to a clinic where I get my meds and case management. I had a routine for the day helping my colleagues with the work ordered day, social meetings, employment meetings and was involved in food preparation. As for now, the clubhouse helped me enroll into Lindsey Hopkins online course where I learned to do manicures, pedicures and body treatments. Since I completed the course an opportunity became available for me to work from home inputting data for a company called College Radar.
