Employment Opportunities
Transitional EmploymentTransitional Employment (TE) positions are temporary, part-time roles with partner businesses that help members reenter the workforce in a supportive and structured environment. These positions are time-limited (up to six months) and provide members with the opportunity to develop workplace skills, rebuild confidence and gain recent work experience. Unlike traditional hiring processes, Fountain House removes barriers to participation. Members do not need resumes, applications or interviews to begin working in a TE position. Instead, Fountain House staff train and support members throughout the placement to ensure success for both the member and the employer.

Supported EmploymentSupported Employment (SE) provides members with opportunities for long-term, competitive employment with partner organizations. Members are hired directly by employers into part-time or full-time roles, and continue to receive support from Fountain House staff as needed. This model allows members to pursue stable employment while giving employers access to a reliable and diverse workforce.

Transitional Employment
Transitional Employment (TE) positions are short-term, part-time jobs with community business partners that help members return to the workforce in a supportive and structured setting. These positions are temporary (up to six months) and give members the opportunity to build workplace skills, increase confidence, and gain current work experience.
Unlike traditional hiring practices, the Key Clubhouse reduces barriers to employment. Members do not need resumes, applications, or interviews to start working in a TE position. Instead, the Key Clubhouse staff provide training and ongoing support throughout the placement to promote success for both the member and the employer.
Supported Employment
Supported Employment offers members opportunities for ongoing, competitive employment with partner organizations. Members are hired directly by employers into either part-time or full-time positions and continue to receive assistance from the Key Clubhouse staff whenever needed.
This approach allows members to build long-term employment stability while providing employers with access to a dependable and diverse workforce.
Independent Employment (IE):
Independent Employment is designed for members who are ready to pursue and maintain employment on their own. In this employment tier, members independently search for, apply to, interview for, and secure jobs in the community based on their personal interests, skills, and career goals.
While members take the lead in managing their employment, Clubhouse staff remain available to provide support when requested. This may include assistance with resume writing, interview preparation, job searches, career planning, workplace problem-solving, and benefits counseling. Unlike Transitional Employment (TE) and Supported Employment (SEP), there is no on-site job coaching or direct supervision provided by Clubhouse staff at the workplace.
Independent Employment promotes self-sufficiency, confidence, and long-term career growth while ensuring that members continue to have access to Clubhouse support whenever needed. The goal is to help members achieve meaningful, competitive employment and maintain success in the workforce while remaining connected to the Clubhouse community.
